Privacy Policy

How FAACCE handles the personal information entrusted to it by visitors, creators, collectors and partners.

Effective 2026

Scope

This policy describes how FAACCE handles personal information collected through the platform, editorial communications and correspondence with creators, collectors and partners.

User data we collect

We collect only what is required to operate the platform: name, email, country and — where you choose to provide them — profile details, creative work submissions, acquisition preferences and correspondence. Aggregated, non-identifying usage data helps us improve the experience.

Account information

Where an account is created, we retain the account details necessary to maintain it — including verification status for creators and curatorial correspondence. Account holders may request access, correction or deletion at any time.

Communication preferences

We use email to respond to enquiries, coordinate curatorial review, confirm acquisitions and — with your consent — share editorial updates and programme announcements. You may adjust or withdraw consent for editorial communications at any time by writing to info@faacce.org.

How we use information

Personal information is used to provide curatorial review, facilitate acquisition, deliver programmes you have registered for, and improve the platform. We do not sell personal data.

Sharing

We share information only with vetted service providers required to deliver a service you have requested (for example, payment processing during an acquisition), or where legally obliged. We do not share creator or collector data with third parties for marketing.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by writing to info@faacce.org. Where local law provides additional rights — including data portability and the right to object to certain processing — we will honour them.

Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit and access controls appropriate to the sensitivity of the data. No system is perfectly secure; we commit to prompt notification of any material incident affecting your information.

Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. Creator submissions and acquisition records may be retained for provenance and cultural documentation.
